Conferences metal am Metal 3D Printing News

logo3DEO’s President, Matt Sand, will be speaking at the upcoming MD&M West conference; a must-attend event for any medtech professional. The conference is in Anaheim, CA on February 5-7, and is the largest three-day medtech conference in North America.

Don't miss the opportunity to see 3DEO’s metal am case studies and success stories on Tuesday, February 5th from 8:30-9:15am in room 208B. You’ll also want

to come back to room 208B on Thursday, February 7th from 10:15-11:00am to learn how medical devices will be transformed by metal 3D printing in the near future. We hope to see you there.

We’ll have a booth (#447) during the MD&M conference, and we’ll be available to answer any questions and show you our metal 3D printed parts up close. Please stop by and meet us, we love talking about metal 3d printing!

3DEO at MD&M West 2019

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 5 | Time: 8:30am - 9:15am | Location: 208B

Production with metal additive manufacturing is a completely different ballgame than prototyping. If you're interested in getting into production with metal 3D printing, there is a lot you should be aware of before you make the leap. In this session, Matt Sand will cover everything it takes to transition your product to production with metal additive manufacturing, including:

  • Choosing great candidate applications for AM production
  • Identifying the hidden costs of AM production
  • Calculating infrastructure requirements based on throughput
  • Understanding true ROI of end-to-end production in AM
  • Working with service bureaus to smooth your transition to AM

The material will be discussed in the context of real-world case studies from Matt's experience in metal AM production at 3DEO and publicly available success stories such as medical implants and aerospace components. In addition, the economics of metal additive manufacturing will be covered so you can understand what it takes to build a winning business case.

Date: Thursday Feb. 7 | Time: 10:15am - 11:00am | Location: 208B

Metal 3D printing, using materials such as steel, titanium alloy, cobalt chromium, and aluminum alloys, is transforming the way we look at orthopedics, surgical instrumentation, medical devices, and dental applications. Every other week, new major success stories are covered by the media and new regulations in materials, design and manufacturing, and device testing are approved by the FDA. Attend this talk by Matt Sand, President of 3DEO, to learn through real-world case studies how additive manufacturing is making an impact in medical devices and implants. By the end of the session, the audience will understand what applications are ideally suited for metal 3D printing, and how to get started with the exciting new technology.
